We end 2021 with a very good news!
Our Foundation Laboratory of Architecture 60 +, some time ago was invited by international partners to submit an application in the program Erasmus + in Key Action 2 and with the New Year 2022 will implement for the next 2 years the project entitled.
"GreenerAge - CLIMATE-CHANGE AND ENVIRONMENTAL LITERACY FOR URBAN CITIZENS 55+" in partnership with:
- TAMPEREEN KORKEAKOULUSAATIO SR AFEDEMY from Findland (https://www.tuni.fi/en)
- ACADEMY ON AGE- FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENTS IN EUROPE BV from The Netherlands (https://www.afedemy.eu/)
- ISIS GMBH, Germany (https://isis-sozialforschung.de/de/)
- SHINE 2EUROPE, LDA from Portugal (https://shine2.eu/)
The aim of the project is to engage people aged 55+ in the challenges we are facing with environmental change and the climate crisis, affecting the health and well-being and quality of life of EU citizens. Our lifestyles and consumption behaviour influence many aspects of our lives, including climate change and environmental protection, which are key priorities in Europe.
As the research illustrates, although 55+ people are concerned about climate change, they often do not feel that they will be directly affected by it, nor that they can personally take action to stop it. Therefore, GreenerAge focuses specifically on older people and aims to positively inform, engage and reinforce positive action on climate change and reducing environmental impacts in everyday life.
In an interdisciplinary and international partnership, the project will work together to identify goals and challenges that may affect our climate future.
The end result will be the development of a common compendium of knowledge on environmental change (for people 55+) and the construction of a platform, accessible and friendly especially for people 55+.
We thank the associated partners: GZM Metropolis and Tyska Senior Citizens Council, for the support given at the project submission stage and we hope to cooperate at the implementation stage!
