LAB60+ x Architects
LAB60+ x Architects
What does our work in cooperation with architectural studios consist in? First of all you are probably wondering that LAB60+ is mostly made up of female architects and urban planners (it so happens that our team is heavily feminised) - so why do we need others to talk over the project? We hurry with the answer... LAB60+ is here to: - SUPPORT the design process and not disturb it or interfere with it, we care about its continuity and smooth execution - that is why we treat our work as a "brick" - know-how in the area of many aspects in which architecture studios usually do not specialise - MAKE SURE that everything resulting from our analysis is implemented, therefore we often use the "checklist" tool - DEVELOP CONSENUS to achieve it through "brainstorming", but also other techniques that we use in the design process P.S. the most interesting ideas are always born from this - SOLVE PROJECT CHALLENGES, which in the case of senior and multi-generational facilities are not the easiest, but for 6 years we have been learning and developing to be able to cope with them - COORDINATE cooperation with the Investor, if there is such a will...  - DRAW CONCULUSINS from the cooperation for further stages of the project and future projects Do you want to learn more? Agnieszka Labus has been invited to join the Chapter of an important project implemented by Gazeta Wyborcza concerning what unites rather than divides us in urban space - namely, Designed Humanely... On May 24th a debate took place which opened the second part of the project Designed Humanely - THE CITY MORE COMMON, that is: The city as a space for common action. The city tailored to human needs. A city that allows you to live with your own preferences, gives you the opportunity to choose, reconciles different visions and needs. Those who could not join us are encouraged to listen: here From the very beginning, the HUMAN DESIGNED project has focused on people - their needs, behaviours, expectations, dreams and values which we at LAB60+ are particularly guided by. In the first installment Gazeta Wyborcza touched upon the scale of HOPE by stating straightforwardly that people do not need products but the values they provide. Social trends and research on the habits of people who create HOPE were analyzed. A quality label was created to recognize products, services, places and initiatives. More: here This year the project focuses on PUBLIC SPACE - COMMON SPACE. The Jury will include experts who look at public space from various perspectives. Tomek Rygalik - Studio Rygalik. Krzysztof Rogatka - urban planner, landscape architect, UMK professor. Radek Ratajczak - SHOPA Design & Strategy Zygmunt Borawski - architect, editor of the Architecture and Design section in "Przekrój" quarterly Marta Trakul - Foundation in Place Marta Skowrońska - sociologist, doctorate at Adam Mickiewicz University Agnieszka Labus - Architecture Laboratory 60+ Foundation Joanna Erbel - leader of self-government club in CoopTech Hub Przemysław Chimczak-Bratkowski - ThinkCo Katarzyna Kuniewicz - Head of Residential Research Otodom / Obido Strategic partner of the project is Otodom. Development Cooperatives
Development Cooperatives
On May 12, at the invitation of the CoopTech Hub, thanks to Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung and Fabryka Pełna Życia, a workshop on development cooperatives is being held in an inspiring place, namely Fabryka Pełna Życia in Dąbrowa Górnicza. We are talking about a model for the development of modern economy, about which you can read more in the CoopTech Hub report: here And in the report, among others, about: 1) How to reinvent the local economy? 2) What is a successful transformation? 3) How to make a cooperative transformation in Poland? 4) How many jobs are needed and how much will it cost? 5) How to finance the transformation? The new economic model based on development cooperatives has a chance to be implemented in Dąbrowa Górnicza as part of a pilot project, of which the workshop is a part, as Wojciech Czyżewski pointed out. As part of the workshop, Agnieszka Labus, courtesy of Joanna Erbel, presented demographic challenges in the context of the project implemented by LAB 60+ for GZM Metropolis on the concept of renewal of GZM cities in the trend of aging-friendly cities, for which the essence is to redefine after the restructuring of industry and achieve a new balance on a smaller scale, that is, to be open to a new model - development cooperatives based on the generation of new services implemented and dedicated to different social, age, cultural groups ie: Care for the elderly and the need to define the role of caregivers, but at the same time recognizing in elderly people the potential to be "life coaches" through the prism of life experience and performed professions are just some ideas for services! We would like to thank the CoopTech Hub, Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung and the Full Life Factory for the invitation and keep our fingers crossed for the success of the project!
