This week the Architecture Lab 60+ was in Gouda, the Netherlands, where we participated in an international meeting of partners of the GreenerAge project funded by the Erasmus+ project. We were represented by Edyta Sadowska and Zuza Gawron. ✳️this was our first opportunity to meet face-to-face - which undoubtedly greatly contributed to our communication and joint mobilization and motivation ✳️ in the workshop we worked on the next stages of the project - in particular on the shape of our website/platform, as well as on the shape of the manual - which is to become an effective tool to support people 55+ in the development of green competencies ✳️ the workshop was also a great opportunity to share experiences and research data - which each partner implemented in their local environment in focus groups Here we thank the Tyska Council of Seniors for their joint workshop activities and contributions to the project. Why design '60+ neighborhoods' that brand or even stigmatize space and segregate people's needs by age rather than tastes or lifestyle?" - Agnieszka Labus is asking in the report "Happy Home. A Neighborhood Close to the Heart", noting the misguided approach to designing spaces and buildings that are senior-friendly instead of aging-friendly, making such infrastructure friendly to all of us at every stage of our lives.
