Agnieszka Labus x High Heels
Agnieszka Labus x High Heels
On August 2, an article appeared in "High Heels" about living in small towns, as part of which Agnieszka Labus was interviewed by Edyta Bryla. As part of the interview, Agnieszka had the opportunity to say a bit about the subject, including how much the elderly and families with young children have in common in terms of urban needs: "(...)important to them is not only a good quality of life, accessible, safe and varied public spaces, accessible and varied forms of housing, but also close ties with family or local community. - Small towns have the potential to build their development vision based on the concept of a city for life. That is, for the 8- and 80-year-old, and one in which every age group will find its place, especially the elderly and families with young children. They have very similar needs in relation to urban spaces, making it easier to make them friendly and intergenerational cities," says Labus." And also "(...) Labus points out, however, that the reasons for eventual moves can vary and are dependent on needs and lifestyles. - Age has little to do with it. People of any age may want to escape the city to nature, while others may want to return to the city because they feel better there, or other conditions determine this, Labus says. He adds that for the elderly and families with young children, roots and the local community can be very important. If they move, it's to a familiar place, such as a family area, where they have ties. - It's crucial for them to feel at home," he says." full article: here
