New European Bauhaus

We are very happy to announce that the LAB 60+ Foundation has joined the partners of the New European Bauhaus, whose overarching aim is to encourage people to identify with the principles of the European Green Deal – i.e. working together to reduce the burden on the environment and to develop sustainably. The idea does not just focus on Europe itself, but also extends beyond it.

The New European Bauhaus (NEB) is a creative initiative, which originated with Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission. Its aim is to dissolve the boundaries between science, technology, culture and social inclusion, in order to allow designers to find new solutions to everyday problems. According to the originator, with the New European Bauhaus it will become possible to combine sustainability with style, in such a way that the European Green Deal will reach both the homes and the minds of citizens.
In a nutshell – NEB connects the world of science and technology with the world of art and culture, uses green and digital solutions to change lives for the better, and strives to solve social problems together through co-creation.

NEB is guided by three core values:
– sustainability – from climate goals to zero pollution and biodiversity
– aesthetics – quality of experience and style
– inclusion – valuing diversity and ensuring accessibility.

We look forward to a fruitful collaboration. We hope you will see the results soon.
And today we have our NEB orientation meeting and keep your fingers crossed!
