Gdynia Design Days
Gdynia Design Days
On July 7 at the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park Gdynia, we had the opportunity to listen to Dr. Edyta Sadowska from our LAB 60+ as part of Gdynia Design Days. 4 inspiring women talked about the future, technology, business and new approaches to design. We were looking for answers to questions such as: - How to convince an Investor that it is worth investing in additional research in the creation of a project? - How to create a research group in the design process? - What competencies of a designer are important? In addition to Edyta, we could also listen to: Katarzyna Jaros-Puzio - Interior Design Leader IKEA, who spoke about how IKEA "walks with shoes" into our homes to create the best possible products Natalia Olszewska - talking about how you can design based on neuroscience and data science. Justyna Puchalska - a great presenter of the whole discussion, complementing it in virtually every aspect.

f you want to listen to why Vienna has won the ranking of being the best city to live in (The Global Liveability Index 2022), I recommend the material, in which you will find many interesting insights from different angles. Vienna is first and foremost a 'Fair Shared City' policy - that is, a city of equal opportunity, one that gives everyone and anyone a sense of fairness and fulfillment of potential relative to opportunity! Agnieszka Labus I even committed two articles a few years ago on examples from Vienna, I recommend to those interested: 🟩 Gender-sensitive housing and what's behind it: read here 🟩 the 'gender mainstreaming' strategy, which in Vienna has evolved into the 'equal opportunity city' strategy: read here
LAB60+ x Jacobs
LAB60+ x Jacobs
On June 23 at the invitation of the company Jacobs in Krakow we had the opportunity to design the old age in the city of the future! The lecture and workshops were conducted by Agnieszka Labus and Edyta Sadowska, the knowledge and experience of architects and futurologists was a blend of the future. But it was energetic, it showed not only the topic of "old age" and "future", which seemingly for many was abstract, until we began to discuss it vividly, among other things: 🟢 why this topic? 🟢 What does old age look like today and what will it be like tomorrow? 🟢 What are the challenges of ageing posed by the cities we live in? 🟢 What will old age look like in the cities of the future? 🟢 what is the city of the future like? 🟢 how to design your old age in the city of the future? Thank you to Jacobs for the invitation and energy of this meeting.
